Takamasa Osawa is a lecturer at Kansai University. He holds a PhD from University of Edinburgh. He is a social anthropologist who has studied indigenous communities in Riau, Indonesia. In recent years, he has engaged in a transdisciplinary project to empower indigenous communities in tropical peatland environments.
