All material published by Trans Pacific Press and its imprints is protected under international copyright and intellectual property laws. We ask you to respect this when using our content.

Prior written consent is required before any use or reproduction of any of our material. Note that there may be fees involved when copyrighted material is used, reproduced, or translated.

Licenses and permissions cannot be granted verbally. Trans Pacific Press may not be the copyright holder of the extract or work you wish to use. This is often the case with edited anthologies, as well as all illustrations, diagrams and figures. Please check the copyrights or acknowledgment pages before making your request.

Permissions for Books

If you are seeking permission to use material from a TPP book for any of the reasons below:

  • Permission to use or republish a small selection of text, chapters, figures, tables, illustrations or images from a TPP book.
  • Author of a TPP book seeking permission to reuse your own material in another publication.
  • Permission to use material from a TPP book in an academic dissertation or thesis.

Trans Pacific Press authorized Japan Academic Association For Copyright Clearance (JAC) to license our reproduction rights and reuse rights of copyrighted works. If you wish to obtain permissions of these rights in the countries or regions outside Japan, please refer to the homepage of JAC (http://www.jaacc.org/en/and confirm appropriate organizations to request permission.

You can also submit your request via the Copyright Clearance Center (CCC) permissions clearing service at http://www.copyright.com

If your requested title is not available at JAC and CCC, please provide as many details as much as possible to info@transpacificpress.com

Note that JAC and CCC are the quickest and most efficient ways of securing permission for TPP book content. Requests sent directly to TPP by email may take months to respond to and process.
